ParaNorman Final Trailer, Making-Of Featurettes

By Heath McKnight (doddleNEWS)

ParaNorman, a 3D, supernatural stop-motion film from directors Sam Fell and Chris Butler, opens tomorrow (Friday August 17), and I wanted to share some cool making-of featurettes, plus the final trailer. The film follows Norman, who can communicate with the dead, and how he may be able to help his town when a curse is placed on it, and the dead start walking again. The studio behind the film also produced Coraline. The film was shot on the Canon 5D Mark II.

First up is the new trailer, which you can watch here. It’s got a fun and creepy voiceover by John Goodman. I think this will be a great film for both kids and parents, alike. The studio, Focus Features, has also release a few featurettes, detailing the making of the movie.

Another featurette shows how they design and make Norman:

Here’s a quick video on making a lamp for ParaNorman, and you can tell how great the craftsmanship is for a small item that will just be, essentially, a prop.
